This week’s stop was Chez Alain Miam Miam in Paris, France. Founded by Alain Roussel, the story began at the Marché des Enfants-Rouges, where his generous sandwiches and galettes became a favorite in the Marais. Alain later opened his restaurant at 26 Rue Charlot, just steps from the market.

The Marché des Enfants-Rouges was devastated by a fire this October, affecting many of the merchants who have made the market such a special part of Parisian life. For Alain, the market was where his story began, making this loss especially close to home.

Our thoughts are with Alain and all the merchants who lost a piece of their livelihood and history.
